You will play a central role in driving our growth across Wallonia. As an experienced Business Developer, you will work with major energy consumers to shape and deliver large-scale projects, including solar PV, battery storage and energy management systems. This is a highly commercial, consultative and strategic role, offering the opportunity to make a tangible impact at the heart of the energy transition.
- You identify, engage and win new clients, including major energy consumers and landowners, while managing the full sales cycle from initial opportunity through to contract signature.
- You develop robust business cases covering return on investment, cost savings, carbon impact and financing structures such as PPAs and self-consumption models.
- You work closely with internal teams across engineering, pre-sales, legal and finance to create compelling technical and commercial proposals.
- You lead project development until all conditions precedent have been satisfied, ensuring a smooth and well-structured handover to operational teams.
- You contribute to regional commercial strategy and maintain accurate, disciplined reporting through CRM.
- A Master’s degree in engineering or from a business school, with strong technical understanding and financial insight.
- At least 8 years’ experience in B2B business development, ideally within energy, energy efficiency, construction or real estate.
- A strong track record of selling complex solutions with long sales cycles and significant commercial value (€100k+).
- Solid knowledge of solar contracting models, including EPC, O&M and PPA structures, as well as relevant national and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent commercial acumen, communication and relationship-building skills, combined with autonomy, adaptability, a results-driven approach and strong team spirit.
- Fluent French, spoken and written, and professional-level English.
- Preference for a self-employed status.
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing business and a recognised player in industrial solar in Belgium. You will work in a stimulating environment that offers a high level of autonomy, exposure to complex, high-value projects, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the decarbonisation of industry.
As part of the international EDP Group, you can also benefit from genuine career development opportunities within a multicultural, ambitious and forward-looking organisation.
